Who's cooking Thanksgiving Dinner in A/S?

Anyone out there who will be cooking their A/S for Thanksgiving? And if you you are, where will you be and what will your holiday menu look like?
Happy Turkey day to all., Susan

We will be traveling to Las Vegas with the AS and staying at the Oasis RV Park. Since it is just the wife and I, we are cooking a 1/2 13# turkey in the oven along with mashed taters, sweet taters, peas and onions, gravy, and fresh cranberry sauce...haven't decided on dessert yet...oh and don't forget the vino!

Turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, apple pie. All but the turkey will be prepared in the Airstream, the turkey is too big to fit in the oven, no matter how much I cram it...

AS Thankgiving

we spent last thanksgiving up at dead horse state park.
weather was great, did some fishin', some sittin' and some drinkin'

while we wanted a real turkey for thanksgiving we didn't want to mess up the AS too much.

so........

no muss - no problem.

and you would not believe how good it was!

we brought the rest of the fixin's with us and did a bit in the AS.

Happy Thanksgiving to All - on the road or home.

It wouldn't be Thanksgiving without a turkey in the Airstream...

Not this year but I can verify that a 1977 Magic Chef oven will cook up to a 22lb turkey.

Well, with 23 of us around the table, we won't be cooking or eating in the AS. But, we are not moving her to her winter hme until after Turkey day so all the kids and their families can see what we've been talking about for the past three months! Kind of like, meet the newest member of the family day..

Well we won't be cooking the entire meal but I will be cooking the cornbread dressing and an apple pie in my 1971 Magic Chef oven.

We're at home this Thanksgiving, but having the Airstream by the house gives us a the opportunity to have his and hers kitchens!

This just out of the Sovereign's oven.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Black Swan or 1 in a million

My wife bought a small turkey to cook in our oven at home. The Airstream is winterized and put away- -like in storage and parked 25 miles away.
So this morning as she went to start the oven in our GE gas range, guess what? The xxxx oven wouldnít heat up. -Again !!!
We had oven failure when we first got the stove in 1999 and also failed a year later. What is the problem with these simple components????

Now, we have a fully stuffed turkey ready to go now place to cook it- -Or do we?
The Airstream has a great oven and we could use that, but I didnít think of that alternative until this thread appeared on Airforums. Now itís too late in the day to use the A/S oven. Iíll get the part (Glow Bar or Oven Igniter) tomorrow and hopefully it is in stock locally. So maybe weíll have our turkey tomorrow while other are have their leftovers.

one in a million + - - a black swan instead of a common turkey
