While some of our 4CU friends rallied together in Quartzsite, AZ for Thanksgiving again this year, we needed to stay closer to home this time...so we are having a quiet R&R Thanksgiving weekend at Picacho Peak...we had roasted a turkey earlier in the week, so we brought half-turkey breast, made dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, and a pumpkin pie in the Bambi... It was a very nice dinner...made fresh-whipped cream for the pie and now we are full and ready for a cozy night in the mid-30-degree (forecast) weather...

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

The oven is out for some interior cabinet rebuilding this winter but the need for another stove popped up.
I can attest that it is possible to cook a squash soufflé and extra dressing with the oven set up on an oil drum and the barbecue propane tank providing gas.
I have a bad feeling there will be a picture of “Ma trailer trash step-daddy a putin’ in the vittles.” posted on one of the kids Facebook account tonight.

Happy Thanksgiving to all,
Tom
