I am picky, but I will still drink anything you have. I just want the good stuff first.
Those are words of wisdom - ALWAYS drink the good stuff first. You won't appreciate the good stuff after quaffing back glass after glass of plonk.
Anyone seen the movie Sideways? Truly an excellent movie, with the added bonus of learning lots about wine.
Some favorite quotes:
Jack: If they want to drink Merlot, we're drinking Merlot.
Miles: No, if anyone orders Merlot, I'm leaving. I am NOT drinking any f*cking Merlot!
Miles: [while tasting wine] It tastes like the back of a f*cking L.A. school bus. Now they probably didn't de-stem, hoping for some semblance of concentration, crushed it up with leaves and mice, and then wound up with this rancid tar and turpentine bullsh*t. F*ckin' Raid.
Jack: Tastes pretty good to me.

Well it only took 7 months to find this posting. So I am slow.
But after looking at the poll results I now know why we owen a squarestream,we are different. We only drink white wines like Cakebread Cellars Chardonnay from Napa Valley.(NO FRENCH WINES) Since it looks like most Airstream folks like red wines,at the next 4 CU rally that we go to we will load up the squarestreams wine cellar with all our unused red wines for you folks to enjoy.
By far our favorite is Domaine Drouhin. We were told to visit them at the International Rally in Salem. We were amazed at the complexity and earthiness of thewine. We bought about $300 worth and headed back. Now we look for them locally but it is a little hard to get.

Life is too short to drink cheap wine.
Hmmmm, French wines are my favorite. The reds, specifically, Bordeaux and Cotes du Rhone. It takes all kinds I suppose.
For white wines I prefer Italian, especially the Southern Italian white table wines. There are a couple from Sicily that I just love, can't remember their names, we had then when we were in Italy.
My all-time favorite was Weibel's Green Hungarian, but my understanding is that urban sprall has taken over and the Weibel Vinyards are now a subdivision of Fremont, CA.

Just ordered Petite Syrah and Cab Sov vines to plant on our property next spring. We're starting the next California growing area in the foothills east of Fresno. In 5 years or so we'll see how they do.
In the mean time we enjoy bold reds after a day of trailer restoration projects.
Mmmm... Plain ol' good Portuguese port is mighty fine.
My latest favorite is Cooper Mountain reserve pinot noir (Portland, OR area). Their un-oaked reserve chardonnay is a bit floral but nice, great with fish -- Susie is prone to migraines (avoids MSG like the plague) and her favorite is this chardonnay. A to Z chardonnay is good, their pinot noir is watery. For imports: reds - Saint-Émilion, for chardonnay I prefer Burgundy region Mâcon.
Don't get me started. A nice Loire valley Sancerre (sauvignon blanc). MacMurray (as in Fred) pinot noir....
And for mussels give me Colorado's New Belgium brewery's trippel ale.
Wine? We could change the title....
