Lobster, lobster, lobster. Maritimes (eh?- tongue in cheek)
.
Codybear....we must be related...in the past.
Hof brau is Germany and balance of menu is France. Paternal ancestors from Alcase Lorraine (excuse spelling) region of France which borders Germany. Ceded numerous times due to wars...Germany- France...France-Germany etc. etc. etc.

Airforce brat, posted to Zweibrucken in mid '60's. Very close to border with France. Been there, done that, love to do it again!

I did up a lamb roast on the grill with bake potato and corn. But we had to eat indoors because the Calif fires smoke is thick today. Picture taken at 7:30 pm. Dinner was good.

Anything cold or frozen.......ice-cream bars sound good.

Humidex (100%) has taken temperature to 37C. High, for our part of the world, anything over 25C with high humidity, at our age, is extremely uncomfortable. (Between you and me and the Airsteamers- we tend to get a little wacky with too much heat).

This would seem to fit nicely here:

I had but Fifty Cents
Old-Time Song My Grandfather Sang

I took my girl to a fancy ball, it was a social hop
We stayed until the break of day, The music had to stop.
We went in- to a rest- a- raunt, the finest on the street
She said she wasn’t hung-ery but this is what she'd eat

A dozen rolls, a plate of slaw, a chicken and a roast
A pair of doves with apple sauce, a soft shell crab on toast
A big barbecue with crackers too, her appetite was immense
When she called for pie,I thought I’d die, for I had just fifty cents

You ‘bet I wasn’t hung-ery, I didn’t care to eat
But I’ve got money on my flank that says she can't be beat
If she ate that way all the time
She’d surely break a bank
She said she wasn’t thirsty, but this is what she drank

A glass of ale, a gin cocktail, it made me shake with fear
A ginger pop with rum on top, and a schooner of lager beer
A whisky skinned with a glass of gin, she should have had more sense
When she called for more, I hitthe floor, for I had but fifty cents

You ‘bet I wasn’t thirsty, I didn’t care to drink
Knowing just how close I was to falling o'er the brink
She said she’d bring her sisters along next time to have some fun
I gave the man my fifty cents, and this is what he done

He mashed my nose, he tore my clothes, he hit me to the floor
He grabbed me by my collar and slammed me out the door
He kicked me where my pants unloose, I should have had more sense
Take my advice, don’t try it twice when you’ve got but fifty cents
