Momma's Little Helper

Gemma made dinner on June 9th.

Hamburger Helper "Cheesy" Something! It was only her second time making it. The first time she made it was in high school - a few years back.

We were grocery shopping at a store that we don't usually frequent and there was this nice lady handing out samples. Yow! That's yummy! We bought six boxes! We now have five more in the pantry.

Gemma added some sauteed mushrooms and frozen peas. She took the shot before adding the "cheesy" topping. Not the same as she remembered it.

Make Up

Okay, to make up for that last image we figured we'd post a more visually compelling image.

Pupusas! Pork and cheese pupusas. With curtido. Pupusa - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia We had these on May 26th at Gemma's girlfriend's home. They were picked up from La Paz in San Francisco's Potrero Hill District. La Paz Restaurant Pupuseria - Potrero Hill - San Francisco, CA

Gemma's going to try again. We think we have a few more varieties to try out and then, it's time to graduate to . . . Tuna Helper!

Gemma swears she's going to follow directions next time and not try to gussy anything up. In elementary school she we could have gotten perfect report cards but she had a challenging time mastering, "listens and follow directions". Every year. If Murray was handing out report cards, he'd be hard pressed to check off that box on her report cart, even today.

Last night we had grilled chicken, sugar snap peas and something new - mango cole slaw. Not so new: steamed rice.

Okay, so maybe she wouldn't ace spelling either Report CARD. Not report cart.

NOoooooooo. Tuna Helper isn't even fit for human consumption!

We've been on Vacation with the AS the last two weeks, in Destin, FL. Just got back. Had too many meals to think about. Will try to remember some and post. Last night was fresh zucchini from the garden, grilled kielbasa, and........., yes RICE! (sorry, no camera handy)
