What????!!! And run the risk of incurring his wrath? Do you know what that means? Not only does he know where the stove is, he knows where every single pot, pan and kitchen appliance is and he's not afraid to use them. ALL of them, all at once.

It's best to encourage using the grill and making one pot meals.

Gemma's not going to get sassy.

Tonight we had homemade beer bread, fresh sliced prosciutto and sopressa, sliced tomatoes with mozzarella and basil, and a wonderful Macedonia fruit salad.

Homemade pasta

Yesterday while I was slaving away on Abby, my wife and oldest son made homemade pasta and homemade ragu' (meat) sauce.

Terry,

Top is definitely kickin' our butts! Come on, that prosciutto and sopressata looked amazing! Don't even get us started on that homemade pasta. And the home baked bread. Not to mention, Top's image quality is far superior to our iPhones.

We'll post soon, but have loved seeing what everyone's been having for dinner!

Your friends,

Our meals seem to be pretty simple compared to the others on this link. Do enjoy all of your meals and menus. Tonight we had bbq buffalo tenderloin steak, salad and corn on the cob. Simple but very good

Memorial Day

It just didn't feel right not to have something grilled on Memorial Day. So we had grilled chicken with Everett and Jones barbecue sauce. WELCOME TO THE HOME OF SUPER-QUE Gemma made her mom's potato salad; boiled potatoes AND boiled carrots, with celery and lots of hard-boiled eggs. Kind of like a Russian salad, but without the beets and peas.

Queen of the South!

Last night we had grilled chicken, boiled okra with a Vietnamese nuoc cham dipping sauce and steamed rice.

(Gemma has named herself, "Queen of the South" and loves okra!)

June 7th

We had grilled ribeyes and sauteed oyster, crimini and shiitake mushrooms on June 6th. We captured an image, but it really looked like a sea of brown on brown - so no image worthy of sharing.

The next night we had Thai beef salad, made with rest of the steaks from the night before. Broccoli and steamed rice rounded out the rest of the meal. Image below.

We're at our Unit's "Backyard Bash" June rally; tonight we had, fresh fried fish (provided by one of our avid fisherman members - & the fish was excellent!), bacon and potato salad, bbq baked beans, and for desert, lemonade pie. Sorry, no pics, too busy helping the rally camp hosts.
