7:30 p.m. in the Maritimes.

Enjoyed baked ham, red potatoes, broccoli/cauliflower combo and pickled green tomato chow.

Pea soup on the stove tomorrow, home-made bread is a "must have". Baked ham sandwiches on fresh bread are to die for. Add the pea soup and you have a winning combo.

Hubby has laid claim to any and all leftovers as "my lunches".

PJ ....you might be glad to know that after eating the grilled Filet Mignon etc ...I took a stroll to the top of my hill in Laguna Beach and what did I see?

Red Glow yonder on horizon....and some closer fires...within 10 miles...my Bambi is stored off of Portola Hills area......

Tonite, it's steamed striped bass with soy sauce (yes - head and tail!) and green onions, sauteed yard long beans topped with ground pork and rice.

Boy yall Califorinans eat some weird stuff but it sure sounds good. I just had a bowl of pinto beans over rice with a couple pieces of smoked sausages.

Sounds scrumptious, Paula! We're having fish too: Petrale sole w/a little pico de gallo, new potatoes, steamed spinach & bacon, heirloom tomatoes w/moz.basil,voo,& balsamic. And wine of course (sadly not DG's zin at LSA) And--if this annoying crust behaves (I'm thawing a previous endeavor) an apple pie made w/ local jonagolds--A dessert originally meant for the rally. Drat!
I mean, Cheers!
