I cut up the last of the zucchini from last summer's garden (who knew it would keep so well?), and am simmering it in chicken broth with garlic, basil, lemon pepper, carrots, celery, onion, chicken and a dash of Worcestershire sauce and lemon juice. This is a new creation, so I hope it turns out well.

It sure smells good!

Chinese take out. Chow mein, grilled chicken and braised tofu. (All separate dishes, not all together.)

What can we say? We're in the Bay Area. We have yet to embrace carob chip cookies-thank goodness!

Beer Butt Chicken. (Actually, my wife substituted chardonnay for the beer ) and asparagus spears.

Because of the "Snowmaggedon" Blizzard, and the resulting three day power outage, we've been cooking with gas (outdoor grilling!) for the past three days.

Life is good.

Ro'tel, hummmmm sounds like a southern thing. What do you do with left over mac and cheese? Don't want to fry it like Alton Brown
