Tea... But CUTE

I was watching a rerun of "The Big Bang" and saw this - now I am on a quest for one. No thrift store, junk shop or estate sale shall be spared in the effort to not pay $700 for one. I'll write to the factory and ask them to do a re-issue (with a different colored rocket of course so the difference can be known).

Agreed...we both like our French Press's...especially since we each drink a different coffee...and...if boon docking we do not need power as we have a tea pot to heat water. Definitely takes up a lot less room than our drip pot did.

Just got an AeroPress for my birthday this week to keep at work & take on the road with us. Simply one of the best cups of coffee you can make

We use a Melitta thermal stainless steel glass lined pot with screw on lid. There is a paper filter holder that I put the fresh ground Starbucks coffee into and add boiling water from the kettle. It keeps the coffee hot for hours.

Products - Stainless Steel 10 Cup Thermal Pour-Over Coffeemaker - Melitta

Bought one like this Benjamin Medwin Stainless Stovetop Espresso Cappuccino Coffee Maker | eBay off eBay. It took a few tries, but now I can make an awesome cappuccino with nicely foamed milk while boondocking.

That is a great way to go. One word of caution, be sure to Always have the screen in place. The results with out the screen can be exciting.

I think the Chemex is cute.

The website just5moreminutes.com has a lot of ideas, and she uses a Chemex.
Decor & Housekeeping Just 5 More Minutes
You will have to do a search for Chemex to find it within the page.

We just use instant while out in Airstream. But, I did purchase a cute teapot to heat up the water: Kettles | Le Creuset
We bought the red/orange one-- it brings a splash of color to our kitchen. Also, we started using a thermos which keeps our water hot the entire day. This helps with our propane consumption!

Cheers!

Royce - The screen between the coffee and the output is *always* in place! This coffeemaker with the 3-hole steam tip does an excellent job of foaming the milk. I've been using this coffeemaker at home to perfect my technique. In 1 month I pull out to head south for the winter, and the cappuccino maker comes with me. My wife now insists on her morning cafe latte.

In my AS I also have a small hand-cranked coffee mill. I freshly grind my coffee as well. Just because I boondock a lot does not mean I have to compromise on the quality of my coffee :-)

I picked up an Italian Moka at an estate sale last weekend for 75 cents. It works great.

I'll be bringing that along this weekend. Works so quickly.
