water cooler

We don't use our water around here for drinking, cooking, etc.

I was thinking of incorporating a water cooler to take the 5 gallon jugs into a cabinet next to my refrigerator. Has anybody done this before?

I am going to be permanenly hooked up to power, so i would have no problem there, and I would have cold water for drinking/cooking as well as a hot water tap for instant hot water for soup, instant coffee, etc.

Whatcha think?

There is a much easier and less expensive way to get quality drinking water. Use a high-quality reverse osmosis filter unit (mine has 5 filter stages) and you will get water that is of superior quality to just about any bottled water.

The system cost me about $300 and the difference is amazing. Plus, I don't have to buy water any longer and haul it around. I would highly recommend any system made in the USA that is NSF certified and used US filters. The off shore imports just don't cut it....regardess of what they claim!

thanks

I will keep that in mind as well.

My situation... The site I have has electric and sewer but no water. I will be hauling water up every time I go (trailer will stay there year 'round). We seriously do not use our water here for anything that would involve consumption.... I could fill up holding tank in truck each time somewhere else before I go I guess.

Will have to think on that one.
