I told you the other day that my sister was working on a secret project. Well, here it is.....Drum Roll........My sister, Sandy, made me this adorable stove protector for Brutis. It is backed with heat resistant silver fabric. I'm kind of feeling around for her if there would be any interest from our community for these. I'm sure she could put the grommets in different places if need be (my trailer is an '86 & the stove top holes are 3 7/8" apart. I'd have to check with her for the diameter of the grommet. She could also change up the background color to another color if prefered. CUTE AS A BUG! If people are interested, I'll direct her to the classifieds or whatever I should do here.
(Don't know why my pictures won't print on this page, but they should open if you click!)
When I first read the post I thought brace yourself this is going to be something like a toaster cozy. After looking at the pictures I really like it and the Idea. Good workmanship and functional, I think your are on to something. Good job Sandy.
I'd like to have one of these also if she decides to make them. The pins on my stove - 2007 Amana - are exactly 4" apart center to center. What size is the entire thing?
I just remeasured the grommets. The ARE 4" from center to center. The piece measures 19 1/2" horizontally & 17" vertically. I'm sure the buyer would have to pay the shipping. She could probably send it in one of those flat rate boxes, though.
Becky, Ask Sandy to PM me. I need to ask a few questions... but I would be interested too! $50.00 + shipping cost seems very reasonable. She may be on to a real money maker here! Ed

The bars sticking up through the grommets are part of the stove lid. It keeps it from falling over backwards when it's open. If you don't need grommets, it's not a problem. I'd have to ask her about the different size. I don't think that would be a problem, though.
