Wow, I was really looking forward to downloading this due to the good karma that seems to be associated with it, and to see that the site was shut down was very disappointing.

Guys, I'm so sorry that it's taken me over two years to respond to this. I'm still a forum member, I just don't check in as often as I probably should. I'm getting a Dropbox account and will load Sherri's Cookbook there. It seems that the Feds shut down all the major file sharing sites.

Hopefully this link works for those wishing a copy of Sherri's Cookbook. I have maintained and added to it, since she passed, because I love cooking too.

I updated the link in the older post to the newest source. I downloaded the original cookbook when the link was first posted and have used it a lot. It is great resource.

I really appreciate that, guys. I know Sherri would too. I've talked with people in Australia and Germany who have the cookbook....that still blows me away.

Life has been a bit hectic here, one of the reasons for my prolonged absence. I retired from the Army in '12, started working as a contractor in late '11 and was laid off, thanks to budget cuts last September, so I decided to just retire completely. Brooke did too.

In the meantime, Brooke's mom was battling cancer, and it came back with a vengeance this year; she lost her battle in May. We decided that, since we have no roots here in Texas, we needed to sell the house and head home to Idaho. We put the house on the market in June, but our agent wasn't aggressive enough and she had the house priced too high. Two weeks ago, we got another agent, reasonably priced the house and got a contract yesterday for full asking price, which we accepted.

We're selling all the horses, except for our daughter's retired halter horse, getting rid of the living quarters horse trailer, and buying a new RV. Don't know if it'll be an Airstream or not, but we'll see.

So, come hell or highwater, by November 3rd we'll be on our way home.

Glad you guys are making good use of the cookbook! We have been steadily packing up the house; moving day is this coming Thursday and I am excited. We have to make the move in two trips...U-Haul towing the BMW and F350 towing the horse trailer, then back to Texas with the F350 to get the boat and CJ-5, which I'll be driving.
