Poll: Which is the better stuff?
Which is better, cranberry sauce; the lumpy kind that comes with chunks and pieces, or the kind that comes out with that awesome vacuum sound and the cool rings around the perimeter?

My vote goes for the lumpy kind, although the vacuum sucking sound is cool.

Home made. My wife, and now my daughter, make awesome cranberry sauce from fresh cranberries. The only way to go.

I assumed the lumpy kind was home made, which is why I voted for it. Now I'm confused!

Whole berry. Is that the "lumpy" kind? BTW, one of the joys of living in South Jersey is the ability to drive through the cranberry bogs this time of year. Very nice.

After a long winter season, the Blueberry and the Cranberry were sitting at a bar enjoying some juice,... "Boy am I 'Bushed'" said the the Blueberry..."yeah, and I'm completely 'bogged' down", remarked the Cranberry...
With the convience of canned berries, this year we're going with a bit both of the Jelly & Berry Cranberrys...AND some Blueberry Pie for later...Yummy!
Got the turkey in the Brine tonight, and will toss it on the smoker tomorrow morning...Turkey vapors will abound in the back yard tomorrow...!

Home made (chunky) ...
That's what we enjoyed in the Airstream while camping back on Canadian Thanksgiving...
Happy Thanksgiving to all our US friends.

Grew up with the can and still like it best! DW does make a mean home made though. We have both but have dropped from 2 cans down to one over the last few years.

Neither. We don't like cranberry sauce at our house.
I do make a delicious Cranberry-Orange conserve for the holidays, though, that is delicious on biscuits and gives that nice pop of color on the table.
