We will cook half a 12-14 lb turkey in our oven on Thanksgiving. Fresh biscuits will be cooked in the ovenette. Yum!

My wife and I have used our oven numerous times.....cooked pizza, cookies, muffins....we kinda think they taste better using it than they do cooking them in the house

New Range
We love using the oven so much that last year in Florida we put in a new Wedgewood range in our 1999 Excella!! It's great to have a super oven and three burners that are adjustable!!! We've fed up to 7 people in our 25 Excella so obviously I love to cook. I need an oven!!

Use the oven?
Of course! Where else do you stick things you don't want the mice to get?

I cooked a chicken with stuffing for Thanksgiving and a ham for Christmas in mine.
Ahhh ... life is good.

Frustratin’ Fluctuation
I have used mine mostly to heat up frozen pizza or other quick things. Last weekend I put some beef ribs in to braze at 250 and discovered that my oven only appears to have 2 speeds. On and off. It will heat up to the temperature only if you set it to broil to get the main flame to light and then shut off when it reaches the desired setting. It won’t come back on till I turn it up again. Any suggestions?

As a breadbox. We cook outdoors and plan our meals for outdoor cooking. I'd give up the oven space in a heartbeat to have more storage or shelving.

Just try to do this in a microwave.
Toasted bun, melted cheese. Calibrating the thermostat is paying off.

Can you actually make good old-fashioned yeast bread without an "old-fashioned" oven????

Two years ago when we purchased our 1981 Excella II our oven did not work to our great disappointment. After the thermo-couple was changed out it still didn't work. This last during a six day power outtage we gave it one more try. We were totally amazed that we now have a working oven. Our first run was sugar cookies. Shortly after that we had pork chops and then baked chicken breasts. We love our oven. Not only does it cook our cookies and dinner but it keeps us warm for about two hours ater dinner. Our policy is that everything in the trailer has to have two missions. In this case, cooking a tasty dinner and then warming the trailer for a couple hours after dinner.

We use our oven all the time. The PO of our trailer had a "Nuker" but we decided to eliminate it in favor of the espresso machine and coffee grinder. There is nothing like a fresh coffee with breakfast and fresh baked muffins are the bomb... Besides, where else will em warm up his killer ribs at Falluminum or Springstream (hint hint).

We have the combo Micro/Convection oven. Yes, it does a great job on yeast bread.

Is anyone willing to share recipes? Our unit has a oven and I would like to get creative once we get out and about. Is there any difference in temp or time when you cook stuff?

Actually altitude is about the only thing I've had to adjust for.... once you get used to your oven! Our old one was bad about the temp so it took a time or two to figure the "conversion" . After we put a 12x12 tile in above the heat source, it held the temp very even. I haven't had Phil put a tile in our new one yet but I think I will soon. Made a big difference. I'm doing the second pan of a new killer carrot cake recipe I found ...as we speak. I'll see if it gets a bit browner than I like on the bottom. Last time it did...
PM if you'd like some recipes!!

If the temp is off, the thermostat can be calibrated. Prior to calibration, mine was off more than 200 degrees. Sounds like a lot, but it is less than ¼ turn in the adjustment. After calibration, it will keep the temp to plus or minus 8 degrees. Putting a tile or pizza stone to help stabilize the temp is a good idea.
