I also have Corelle, and use one of those steel, rubber coated lid holders that you can buy at WalMart.

Holds them vertically, and securely. Plates and bowls.

You could also put some of that waffle-ey shelf liner between your plates, if you wanted to, to cushion them a bit, but I have never had one break.

How do you pack your dishes?

Been using the same Corelle dishes for 10 years. Just stack them in the overhead, never had a problem.

Been using Corelle dishes in my RV's since the late 70's. One exploded when it fell out of a cabinet somewhere on the Deese Lake BC gravel highway about 1982 or so. Never had another one go, and I simply stack them in the cabinets that AS provides in a convenient way for me to get at them.

Paper plates come pre stacked from the factory. If you'd like to understand my financial standing, well I just finished rinsing off my paper plate and it's in the stainer drying. Seriously, we flat stack them in the overhead locker and since there's only 6, they set safely lower than the front lip of the locker.

Something Different

I built a few enhancements to the bare box approach Airstream provided for kitchen storage. I assembled scrap materials with screws and glue, then used 99 cent spray paint from a big box store. I did the same for the drawers. All the inserts are removable for cleaning (or for our next trailer ) It works for us.

SeeMore that's a great job!!

Occasionally that is a down side to this forum. So many talented people who can go that extra step.

Just picked up a set of semi hard sided dish containers from the container store. Look like they will work well, included some between plate pads.
