I agree. We should all be careful to chew our food properly before swallowing!

Got to take responsibility for taking care of your tools. I usually don't brush off my portable BBQ (OGrill) before cooking. I scrap it down with the attached blade the lightly run the brush on the grill after I pull the food off then after it cools clean it off with water, dry it put it back in the grill body after its cleaned. I spray the grill with olive oil before cooking. If I notice bits of brush coming off then I replace the brush.

I'm sure the government will have to come out with a regulation now.

i think i saw this trick on the internet somewhere.....
cut an onion in half and slide the flat side across the grill ribs and it will help dissolve the crusty remnants on the grate. at least if the onion gets in your food it will be good for you!

btw, i think olive oil burns faster than most cooking oils.

This is pretty much a common sense issue. First time I used a wire brush I knew it was stupid. Never used one again. Jim

I especially like the notion of throwing the used onion on the coals when you're done to give the meat an onion flavor.

I use a piece of aluminum foil to clean the grill grates. Just crumple it up and scrub. Works great and the price is right.

Ditto on crumpled wad of aluminum foil. I also recently discovered that the blade on the hatchet I use for splitting firewood works great for scraping off the burned remnants on our grill's cooking grate. Quick, easy, and no risk of broken wires.
