No, decided too much turkey for one week. Hey, we are getting a bit of a crowd - we should plan a group meal for Saturday.

Thanksgiving

Greetings fellow NEU members! Sandi and I took my daughter to Plymoth for Thanksgiving last year. The Boston/Cape KOA has several winter sites open for the weekend. We arrived Wend night, woke Thanksgiving morning to 1" of snow, went to the Mayflower II and the Plantation then went back to our Safari to cook a Thanksgiving dinner that couldn't be beat. Well sandi and I are doing it again and this time we are dragging Vintage Thunder with us! I hope Don and Amanda can keep warm in VT! What fun spending the weekend with the Pilgrims!

Let's compare notes about locations and campgrounds for next year. I'm feeling a WBCCI NEU Thanksgiviing Rally might be in order for 2008.

Updated Thankgiving Plans!

Looks like there will be a few of us Airstream/Argosy types at Normandy Farms CG for Thanksgiving next week, very cool!

So, here are our current plans:

For those arriving on Wednesday happy hour and dinner will be held in Pattyo's Argosy Minuet 6.0 (yup, the smallest one made). We will be serving Swedish meatballs with egg noodles. BYOB, paper plates and plastic flatware will be provided.

On Thursday Thanksgiving dinner will be held in myboyburt's 25' 93 Excella - mid afternoon. Will be tight, but doable. Campfire in the evening.

On Friday we are planning a happy hour and grill your own meal event, followed by a campfire. Place TBD (Hoping Balrgn brings the Peanut as it is perfect for happy hours).

Saturday we are planning a happy hour and potluck, location TBD. Will ask if the campground will let us use their recreation building. Of course there will be a campfire at night.

Planning on bringing our 19 1/2 year old little Charbroil gas grill. Thing still works perfectly! You can use it to.

Toasty is good too! We can save the Peanut for the March Rig or Rent event.

With Ya in Spirit!!!

My wife and I are going camping at the Delta Bay RV Park in Rio Vista, CA the day after Thanksgiving (dozen or more people coming to our house for dinner). We have two other couples we always camp with that are also making the trek there. Should be a lot of fun camping on the Sacramento River delta.

So, we will be with all you THanksgiving campers in spirit! Have a wonderful day and remember to say THANKS for all those special loved ones in your life...Airstream, Camping World, Airstream Life, Wally, etc.

Thanks for the summary update! What time are you guys arriving on Wednesday? I'm trying to figure out the best time to leave to avoid the holiday traffic.

As it turns out, rumor has it that the plasma tv of my dreams (i.e, Panasonic 42") will be going on sale at Best Buy during 5 am - noon on Black Friday. Though Best Buy staff wouldn't confirm this rumor today, a good indicator to me is the five-deep, one story stack of that model tv at the front of the store!!!

I plan on watching the ads (let me know if anyone knows for sure) and will be part of that pre-dawn waiting line on Friday if they are on sale.

I have Wednesday off, Leon does not but will be getting out of work early if he knows what is good for him. My hope is to be there by 5:00pm.
