Yes, I do remember Capt. Horne. I will post some photos of your house and the watercolor my Mother In Law painted. A spectacular winter scene from a snowfall the day after Christmas.

Awesome!

I would love to see the photos. I can't wait to share them with Lance, he is not going to believe this.

We are so happy Portsmouth made it though another round of Base closure, we are still very much interested in Portsmouth.

Have a wonderful day!

Beth

Funny thing...I noticed a lot of guys seem to enjoy this dish. My two brother-in-laws always enjoyed it but me and my two sisters would never touch it. I wonder if my parents ever figured out why the dog was so fat when we were kids -- from all the hand-outs we slipped to the dog from the dinner table (i.e., green bean casserole and "leather" liver)!

Here's the photo and water color. The picture is of the USS Squalus superstructure, and you can just make out your house in the background. I know this is a little off thread topic, but it is showing beautiful New England.

Beautiful New England!

Your mother in law did a wonderful job on the water color. Lance had his Change of Command Ceremony on that structure. I can see Quarters A in the background, very nice. Do you have any photos of Quarters A?

I just called the Public Affairs Office and they are putting some pictures together. If you PM me with your address, I'll send them along when I get them. Pete

And speaking of the Thanksgiving menu. Pattyo just pm'd me - says she is purchasing (online of course) a electric turkey roaster that will hold up to a 18 lbs bird. Looks like this solves our "how the heck are we going to cook a turkey". question. Now we'll have the oven space in my camper for other Thanksgiving foods.

Have ordered roaster! Says will hold up to 22 lbs Ceramic removal crock (no teflon for me). Hopefully we can put it outside if weather cooperates.

Michelle, et al...are we planning on signing up for the campground's Saturday afternoon Thanksgiving feast? I only mention it now because I believe we need to plan ahead by calling and reserving tickets for this event. I didn't reserve any tickets as I wasn't sure what everyone else was planning.
