You feel comfortable calling Steve at VTS or Colin Hyde and just saying hey, this is ____ again.

You are able to give a brief but informative dissertation on the merits of "semi-monocoque construction" to anyone you meet.

You might be restoring an Airstream if...

...if a year ago you asked what the heck an English Wheel is good for, and now you own one.

You might be restoring an Airstream if your son's belt breaks while out and you grab the rivet gun from your truck to fix it.

Every couple of months you drive 100+ miles to watch an Airstream sell at auction when you have no intention of buying it, you just want to know what it brought when you should have spent the weekend working on the ones you already have. Oh, and you take a couple of wheels and tires from your Airstream with you just in case you buy it and it has a couple of bad tires you can tow it home. Then when you come home empty handed you have to put the wheels back on

You are considering buying another Airstream so that you will have something to camp in while you restore the one you currently own.

You continually think of ways to bribe people to help you buck rivet.....but you're choosy about who can help you

I LOVE this thread. All of the posts are just so SPOT ON!! But like I have had to tell my daughter - if you have to ask "why", I could never explain it to her total satisfaction / understanding.

.......your wife is gone off shopping for the day for whatever she wants because she just got your credit card bill in for the month and found out how much you just spent on the Airstream!
Classic response: '' Baby we talked about all that stuff dont you remember, this isnt just for me its for us''

You might be restoring an airstream if...

...if you have a 40 yr old Dometic fridge hooked up to 110 and a propane bottle, and half full of beer....but it is in your garage for "extended testing."

I'm pretty sure that might qualify for the "you might be a redneck" category as well.
