Yep, I know that feeling. Our 34 has the drapes that start at the frig wall, wrap all the way around to the door. Same way in the bedroom, wall to wall.

When we're all snugged up in there it's womb like, as if she's got her arms wrapped around us. 'Course some have said it looks like the inside of a casket!!

Hmmm a casket...
Have not thought of that. I wonder if when the time comes I can get a hole 34 feet long and 17 feet deep dug?

It would take a heck of a hole. I'd be buried in mine but I want my kids to have it!!

I love my '72 Trade Wind...love just sitting and looking at it and dreaming of what I am going to do. In the middle of a shell-off overhaul right now, and the fact that winter in Minnesota is going to be long with not much work accomplished, I have a lot of time to dream right now. But I have been musing that I should set it up....so when that day comes that I leave this world...one press of a button, and it will make an awesome crematorium. LOL

I agree with the "refuge" feeling everyone seems to get. But this AS "love" I think comes from the smooth curves and radius's everywhere.
Looked at Arctic Foxes today on line and the straight lines and "hardness" of outline gave me a head ache and crossed eyes!!
One thing is certain, I can compose music in Tinbad where it's hard anywhere else.....that cocoon feeling of solitude.
Headed to my TT now from Seattle, be there in 10min. honey;-)

I can't get myself to put the nice golden drapes up in mine because of the casket feeling I think it'll have, but to replace them with something more decorative seems a waste.

When Towed Haul is on the driveway, we often sit inside, have a drink (or three) and watch the world go by through the front windows. When camping, the rear bedroom does have an incredibly cosy feel to it; as others have said, it's almost womb-like. Sadly we're in the winter season now and our womb-on-wheels is an hour's drive away on the dealer's storage lot - talk about separation anxiety!

We have ours in storage at the dealer after winterizing it. Some minor work done to prepare it for next years adventures, which we plan on starting in March 2013.

Being 2 hours away we were wondering how much it would cost to re-adjust the width of the fence to get it into the back yard, so we can just go sit in it. With the holidays just around the corner and family soon to be arriving, we even discussed giving them the house and we'll take the Airstream.

What a great summer we had this last year!
