Two weeks ago we had three inches of snow...on March 1st! Two days later we had mid-70's for two days and then back to the mid-50's. The weekend that followed was in the mid-70's with plenty of sunshine and we had low 80's in the middle of last week through the middle of the week. By this weekend we had rain and mid-50's. Tomorrow will be mid-70's again.

The only thing this yo-yo weather has done for me, really, is to up the pollen count and crank up my allergies!

Glad spring is here!

Spring means cutting wood to burn for the next winter (maybe next week), then taking handfuls of ibuprofen after I hurt my back cutting wood. It means mud so gooey it takes 20 minutes to clean the soles on my work boots (makes great adobe). It means sneezing and itchy eyes. It means dragging hoses around to water trees than we planted that don't belong in the high desert. It may even last more than a few days and we either directly go to winter or summer next.

But it also means working on the Safari and getting out of town in about a month. That's something to look forward to.

I don't know how my wife would feel about my boots under someone's else trailer (apologies to Shania Twain).

But, start bidding ladies!

I would imagine she'd be just fine with your boots being there as long as you aren't...and you split the proceeds!

bootsarama

Invite 100 boots, a series of photos by Eleanor Antin in 1971-73 and sent as postcards. There's a series of 51 of these; some of them:

100 boots in a field
100 boots enter the museum
100 boots on vacation

Imagine 100 boots at an Airstream rally!

Winter is over?

Hi, winter is over? Now I have to go through that long process of Summerizeing my trailer.

Actually the same as winterizeing my trailer.

(1.) Park trailer in driveway, next to house.

(2.) Charge batteries once a month.

(3.) Hose of excess dirt and dust as needed.

Winter IS over - I planted my peas this morning!
And if you have a drop of Irish blood in you, yesterday was the first day of Spring!
Less than a month until the campground opens and we can spend weekends at the 'ranch'- woot!
I'll keep the snowblower in the garage until May though - you never know here in 'Lake Effect" country! After that, it goes in the barn until November.

First WI WBCCI Event of the Year!!!!

Time to go AGAIN!!! No snow on the way for early this weekend but could get some Sunday. The WI Unit Vintage group is going to Door County for our annual Easter season rally.

Got to get off of work and get to the packing!

No one should be allowed to travel until all of us have no snow on the ground, in the air, or in the forecast. It's only fair. We are all in this together!

Almost 5" yesterday, 2" the day before, more tomorrow. A dozen days ago it was in the 60's. Why can't the weather cooperate with my emotions?

Three weeks, one day, we go (unless it's snowing).

Does Egg Harbor do something special with eggs at Easter?
