Window support rods

We superglued a 1/4 inch dowel piece into the bottom support hole. Works but you may have to replace it once in awhile (superglue loosens over time).

There is one window that I always opened to the lowest position, and left it there most of the time, even when we weren't using the trailer, for ventilation. Finally today, three years later, it collapsed. Guess those things wear out after a while.

...collapsing at lower position. Bizarre - compared with adjacent window by door; cannot see any difference in slot, no loose rivets, support bar straight, upper hinge play same; ...such a close tolerance for working properly or not? I like the idea of 1/4" dowel remedy ....but will remain curious for a AS factory solution? After first trip this summer 5200 miles from KS to OR and back...amazing AS trailer experience that will not let this little detail get in the way...just looking at as a small Statics problem finding the opportunity to solve.

I had the same issue with one window on our 2017 FC. I attributed it to just enough play in the hinge points, support rods, etc. of that particular window to keep it from working. I could have tried to fiddle with it but opted for the lazy man's solution and used the second notch!
