Where are you really from

I found this very interesting. it nailed me right on target. I figured moving all over the world would camouflage my origins...Try it out. I hope you enjoy it.

Cool quiz! It did not correctly get mine, though.

Hmm. It said I'm from the Northeast. I've lived in the same California city my entire existance. But wait! There's a BIG however! I'm married to a Italian from Buffalo, NY. Sounds like he's rubbing off on me.
Fun quiz. Thanks.

P.S. Neither my husband nor I think each other knows how to speak right. (did that come out right?)

I am a bit of an anomaly, born in CA spent a bit of time in NJ, then ME then MA and now RI. I guess I’m a mutt! The survey said I was from the Midlands (middle part of the country).
Not a bad summation probably….

Nailed it. Although I've been in Minnesota 35 years, I still have my southern Ohio accent.

It placed me a couple hundred miles away from where I grew up.

Dead wrong for me. The Northeast was the smallest percentage, yet that's where I reside! Ah well I always said I was a misplaced southerner...

I'm a fifth generation Californian, and have lived on every continent except Anartica, and I came out Midlands as well. I've always thought we Californians sounded like we are from Ohio. Cool survey.

It got me wrong as it has me from "The Inland North"; but I was raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and except for several years in Hawaii I've spent the last 23 years in Houston, Texas.

Where are you really from

While my hometown is Chicago, I have lived most of my life near the confluence of the Mississippi and Ohio rivers in Southern Illinois and that is exactly where the quiz placed me . . . . .

My results have me from "The Inland North". I was born and raised in the North East, but 40 years in AZ must have moved me slightly from my origin.

Hi from GA. . . Born in Northern Indiana, raised in Florida, and 30-some years in Atlanta, the quiz said I 'don't really have an accent' and I would agree. However my Yankee relatives think I sound like a Southerner. Kinda fun quiz though, thanks and regards, Craig

Native New Englander... ayuh.... but in Texas for 40 years... so it properly put me in the West....

i think its interesting that many of the questions were about how we hear certain words as opposed to how we pronounce them.

Of course I can always blame my high school speech teacher who all but beat the "ayuhs" out of her students....

she always said, if you want to be a public speaker... you can't get "theya" from "heah!
