We just got a new TV. It's a 2013 GMC 2500HD, SLT Duramax with a 6 speed Allison trans. It's Quicksilver metallic of course. We named him "Kermit". Our 20' FC is "Miss Piggy".

Perhaps this thread would be even more entertaining if we all posted what we call our airstream when it has a flat tire or when we are on our third or fourth attempt at getting it hitched properly.

I do enjoy the names give their AS's. I even find many to be creative and sometimes funny as well but I'm with Ken. "The Trailer" suites us just fine. Color me dull but that's me.

Or maybe not. That kind of language could get us all banned from the Forums!

We're naming "her" Maggie after my mother. She left me some money so I spent it all on a truck and AS. Thanks Mom.

Ours is the "Shiny Beast". Made sense after our previous much smaller SOB.

Just picked up our Interstate on Saturday. Having a difficult time coming up with names for him/her.

Have never had a hard time naming our vehicles or our dogs. For some reason, this one is tough.

Names I kind of like are Big Bob Junior (we already had a vehicle named Big Bob), and Pretty Boy Floyd (Floyd, for short). But neither of those seem 100% right, so we keep searching.

You don't have to name your Interstate right away. It took me a year and a half to find a name for mine (Kaiser). What's the point of naming something that won't come when you call it?

My wife, all three of our cats, and both my kids have names. There must be some point other than coming when you call.

But I hate just calling it he/she/the rv. So impersonal. Won't be able to wait a whole year.

So I take it that none of your peeps or cats are responding as desired!! haha!!

This afternoon we came up with "Fiona." Will try it out and see if it sticks. If not, will move on to other possibilities.

OK, now we have to figure out what the letters in FIONA stand for. Here is a lame start. Fun In Our New Airstream. Maybe someone can figure out one with the O being Overlander.

Named her "Big Bertha" upon bringing her home... after being up on the stands for a year, she mostly gets called "The Silver Turd", as in, "I'm going out to work on The Silver Turd now. See you in a week."

The name that has stuck though, came about from teasing our kids that they weren't allowed to go with us camping because it would be getting rather romantical in the back there... so the whole family knows her as "The LoveStream" now. Getting a paisley peace sign and that lettering for the rear window when she's finished.

Sweet Pea and Brutus

Our Ford F-250 truck's name is Brutus for obvious reasons. He is the biggest, baddest vehicle in our driveway. Our Safari 27FB's name is Sweet Pea. The literal translation of the previous owner's last name was "Sweet Love". The trailer's interior upholstery color is kiwi green so we decided "Sweet Pea" was a very appropriate name.

"The LoveStream" is great! Hilarious story....

And I have a guitar named Sweet Pea...

It's looking like FIONA might be sticking. Especially after Ag&Au's clever deduction...Fun In Our New Airstream = FIONA. We both laughed at that one!! Very clever and cute and appropriate!

Based on all the 'troubles' we've encountered with ours, we decided 'Haven' was appropriate!

I'm leaning towards Grayair for ours and that will match my hair color. However in the motorcycle world, my hair is Chrome.

We were trying to decide what to name our new to us AS when I stumbled upon a note pad in one of the storage bins. One of the previous owners had scratched down some notes of things he wanted to accomplish with it. The title was "Don't mess with Ethel".

A few minutes later, the wife pops her head in and says "What should we name her??" I said nothing... just handed her the notepad and she smiled and said "Ethel... awesome."

Some more digging found more gold. I found an envelope stuffed with instruction manuals, receipts for things purchased, and PICTURES of 'ol Ethel in her prime.

As best I can tell, I'm the fourth owner of her and she's been in Arizona, North Carolina and Miami before settling with us in Tampa.

The tow vehicle is a 4x4 Excursion with a small lift, appropriately named: el jefe blanco.
