I'm getting new panels for the Bambi! No more dimples or the big dent I gave her last spring. Santa has a satellite workshop in OKC (Griffith AS) and a very nice elf (Joe from Air Midwest) who sent the pictures. She's looking good!

Ohhh, Ahhh!!! Looks great.

I'm jealous. Those three panels on my Excella look terrible. On my "Someday" list.

The subwoofer is a polkaudio DB1040DVC 10" Subwoofer. I got it from Amazon. I will drive it with a Sansui SM-1500 amp that I already have.

I will have to build a box for the subwoofer and a new mounting panel for the stereo to replace the radio and separate cassette deck that came in the Excella. The JVC head will go in the top of the area where the former radio was, and the subwoofer enclosure will fill the space below. The box will be a little on the small side for a 10" subwoofer, but that's all the room I have. It'll be close enough.

This will be a project for the next couple of weeks. The University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where I work, closes for two weeks for Christmas and New Year's starting Tuesday. I'll have time to work on this then.
Wow!that's a serious audio/video system you got in there.I bet it's going to sound great!

A nice shiny camera, to replace the one failed in spectacular fashion in Macon last summer (that seems a long time ago). Expect lots of Airstream photos!

Up On The Rooftop With Old Saint Nick

We have it on very good very good authority that Santa's bringing us a new Astrodome for our 1959 Overlander.

Our Airstream has been very good. Us - we'll leave that up to interpretation and hope Santa's feeling gracious.

We share the load equally - 35 years of a happy marriage attests to that. I'll let Kay decide who's in front though...

Santa delivered a new Atwood Vision range yesterday too. We stumbled on a great sale online at RV Parts Country. We now have all the major appliances, except a range hood and microwave.
