I thoroughly agree!

There is no longer a 27' in my signature for exactly that reason. If you come back from a long day of hiking, you get to stare at each other while the TV's on the other side of the room.

Well, it's not all that bad, but a sofa with some fantastically designed tables that pull out from behind somewhere would much be appreciated.

Or you could buy a 30 Classic!

PS -- Here is the tip of the iceberg for "Mo' problems" yet to come from all the new technology, crammed into a rollin' and shakin' test lab:

"Vintage Kin" is a badge of honor!

Now ask yourself how well these new techno-=heavy Airstreams are going to age, after decades of bouncing down the highway.

Not!

Hi

The trailer in the linked thread is still set up the same basic way they did it a decade or two ago. Whatever the mystery is .... it's not smart tech. It's an example of a very normal "old school" setup with weird issues.

When you ultimately get to the "self testing / self diagnosing" phase of smart gear, there are some benefits that balance out the complexity. Somehow I doubt any of that will show up in RV's for a while.

Thanks for the clarification, Bob.

The iceberg is still dead ahead, though, IMO!

We've had a Smart Trailer for > 2 years using SmartThings and our Sierra Wireless MP70 LTE router. Smart Trailer = old tech.

The best image is every Airstream having a 5 year bumper to hitch comprehensive warranty. That would represent actual Airstream quality assurance program improvement.

No Millennial Falcon version?

Maybe next year they will introduce the Millennial Falcon version. It takes Disney a few years to really fully merchandise there product lines.

Thanks,
Matti

Hi

I asked at the factory about a new model. If that's what it is ... they know nothing about it at this point.
