Last year we gave Barb's father a folding metal bench that you can sit on, use as a low table or stand on to adjust the locks on the awning. We borrowed it last fall. Now he gave it back to us this Christmas. He also deducted the price of the bench from some cash he gave us for Christmas. So it feels like we paid for it twice, but it is useful. He'll never know I posted this since he doesn't know how to use a computer.

Santa put this under the tree. Couldn't get a picture until now because my wife grabbed it and started reading. She finished a few minutes ago. She says she really enjoyed it and that "it's really funny!"

I bought us a late Christmas gift yesterday of four Legomatic chairs with cane backs in excellent shape. I cleaned them up today and they are awaiting their first trip out in the Albatross come spring. It is hard to believe someone had them here all along and I just stumbled upon them. I am going to keep my eyes open for more good deals like that.

My Mother in-law made us these really nice embroidered shirts... She can make them with different colored stripes and custom embroider names or what not under the Airstream. If you're interested let me know! They look really great!

NICE! That's a great gift! Welcome and pictures! We're addicted to them especially in the winter!

Congrats!

I have this book, also. I couldn't put it down once I started reading. If you have ever seen the Lucille Ball/Desi Arnez movie based on the book, it is only a portion of the story. Very good reading and the movie is a must see for all rv people. You can download the book from the internet. Just click here: http://archive.org/details/longlongtrailer001201mbp

Santa brought us a couple of polished AS pins from Vintage Trailer Supply in Vermont...

Polished Trailer Pin

What great service from VTS...I ordered em' on a Thurs night, they shipped the next day USPS & I received em' on following Tuesday (mid Dec!)...Not bad service from Vermont all the way to the Left coast in Northern Calif!

We can now 'sport' a polished Airstream on our caps when we're out & about to be identified as part of the 'clan'...

Wireless Speaker and new (faulty) plug

While Christmas shopping on Black Friday, I bought a wireless speaker for the camper. I guess you could call that a Christmas gift I bought for us. Does that count? The day after Christmas, we had a plug installed on the outside of the garage to plug in the camper. Just discovered the hard way, the electrician wired it wrong. 220 instead of 110. When we plugged the AS in, we heard a loud POP! Fried the main breaker. Hope it didn't fry the inverter or do any other damage. Looks like the electrian's company will be buying us a belated Christmas present!

Thumbs up .....Smile

Christmas shopping with the Wife.

A couple was Christmas shopping at the mall on Christmas Eve and the
mall was packed.
As the wife walked through the mall she was surprised to look up and see
her husband was nowhere around.
She was quite upset because they had a lot to do.
Because she was so worried, she called him on her mobile phone to ask
him where he was.
In a calm voice, the husband said, "Honey, you remember the jewelry
store we went into about 5 years ago where you fell in love with that
diamond necklace that we could not afford and I told you that I would
get it for you one day?"
The wife choked up and started to cry and said,
"Yes, I remember that jewelry store."
He said, "Well, I'm in the bar right next to it."
