We used to have an "Impulse Red" Tacoma and thought it looked great with the Bambi...but now we have a "Magnetic Grey" Tacoma (which is dark metallic grey) ...and we think this looks even better...it compliments the trailer and picks up the dark grey pano window covers, etc...
But really folks, ANY color goes good with an Airstream! Now if we had an Argosy, we'd paint it to match the tow vehicle...

Black goes good. Silver is even better.

My fav, Silver Metallic on my last 5 tow vehicles. Pewter before that.
This was a prior tow vehicle, a 2012 Silverado 2500.
This is my present tow vehicle, a 2014 Silverado 1500

color
We've owned dark, including black and nothing looks better when clean, or worse when dirty, plus how hot they get. We've got a white gold F350, which replaced a silver F250. We like white too.

Mine is a F-150 Ruby Red, as chosen by my DW.

Color? Really? I'd be more focused on towing capacity, handling, load capacities and the like. After that, pick the color you like.

Well, I prefer Platinum White as it sheens as silver and other colors in the sun. LOL. I like Silver Ingot a lot for matching but I prefer white. Silver is one of the most popular colors on vehicles. I learned, by driving a silver Vespa that it is also the color that blends into the horizon the most- not a worry on a truck but bad news on a scoot!

This is a great idea! Problem is you would find a LOT of plastic when you get into this. Would need some custom work to do the job right.
I have the AlumaFord and it's great. Sure I can't drop a bucketload of cinderblocks from 50 feet into the bed, but I'm loving it!

Living in the south you learn that white vehicles are easier to cool in the summer. But I did add a yellow+purple accent stripe so it didn't look like Moby Dick!

The only True color that works may not be had today
No its not Ford black, Toyota silver or Chevy white, unfortunately only one color will work for an Airstream and its a 2 tone ,Deep Molton Red pearl , and silver. Yes everyone is unabashed and shamelessly calling out their color but I am being just plain humble about the color that is .

Our original TV was a dark metallic green, since that is what we had when we bought the trailer. It looked great with the AS, but showed every bug and bit of dust and got hot as blazes in summer. When we got a new TV, we selected a silver F250 Lariat with magnetic gray accent. A silver cap finishes the look and we think it goes nicely with the trailer, plus, it doesn't show dirt like the dark colors.
