Whale Tail Teapot

WHALE TAIL TEAPOT

March 1st.

This dreadful Winter has me hobbled. The television said it was -16F last night and Niagara Falls is beginning to freeze over......

I was immensely excited to get a Cozy Cabin Marine Propane Heater for my 1968GT, but there isn't any way that I'll crawl under and over it to tap/run propane line, drill roof for flue...

So, in my stir-crazy cabin fever, I made a 2 cup teapot to fit the cook-top on the heater.

I styled it with cues from a Whale-Tail Airstream.

It's made from porcelain clay. Fired to 2300F.

I'm on my second cup...

Heater is marine grade stainless and brass, weighs 11 pounds. Heater info at post 715 http://www.airforums.com/forums/f48/...101729-52.html

I agree very cute!

Per the Community Rules, there's no selling here on the forum, but if you put an ad in the classified section you might find some takers .

What do you use for glaze to get such a shiny metallic finish?

Thanks all for the kind comments, the project kept my brain out of the snow for a few weeks. It was a fun challenge. Guess I was trying to make some brightness in all this gloomy weather. More snow to shovel this morning.

Ag&Au; Looks just like Pd, very shiny. Glaze formulated by Amaco, PC-4 .
