The television in ours is mounted on a sturdy swing arm that puts it near the center of the trailer. Also swivels. There's also a smaller tv in the bedroom that we have used once or twice in almost 18 months traveling and living in the trailer seasonally (winters in the south).

Geo, I think it is a 26" but the latest standard Airstream tv's are bigger, not sure why.

The original owner of our 2001 Safari 25 RB had JC do a similar modification to it. Some custom storage at the front wall which also holds the converter and DC fuse panel, along with a center console and two Lazboy recliners. They used a floor mounted socket to hold a table pedestal and have two tops, one small and round and one larger T shape.

We haven't owned it long enough to take it out yet, but we enjoy sitting in the recliners in the driveway for happy hour.

Interestingly I am not sure that any of the couches or sofas must be that comfortable. I have a sofa and don't like it that well and seek the L lounge of the 28 for more options and seating. Those that have the L Lounge talk about how uncomfortable it is.

I am an evening TV watcher- I enjoy a good movie. The recliner plan that some of you have done is probably the best choice. If I did not have to keep a spare bed option, I would go that route. I updated my televisions during the holidays to a Smart 32".

I have been following this thread with interest. I wonder why we expect As to make a trailer that can do everything? People want extra beds, a dinette for more than two, and theater seating for movies/TV? I expected my AS to be a compromise and I confess it is more comfortable to watch TV at home in my Lazy Boy. If I was certain I was never going to have any guests in my AS then the recliner modification looks great. But we do like the option of having guests inside so I conclude that I cannot have it all...pillows at the dinette windows work fine for watching TV.

We are just picking up our Airstream in the morning - yippee!! However, in our other SOB we just set up comfortable chairs outside and purchased a 28" TV and do all of our tv watching outside! We plan to do the same thing with our Airstream. TV rides on the bed when in tow.
