Warranty work?

Question for owners that have traveled long distances to buy your NEW Airstream.
What do you do for warranty service?
Return to dealership that you purchased from, use local dealership service department, make the journey to the Jackson Center Service Center or other?

I bought mine from Lazy Days in Tucson and took it back there for warranty work....gave me an excuse to get on the road I am not opposed to using the dealer in the city where I live but the service was so much better at Lazy Days and they won my business. I would like to go to Jackson Center sometime in the future and may just do that with any remaining warranty items that pop up.

Other, so far. Bought at Colonial in NJ, which is too far for me to go for service. They shipped me the parts to fix my jack (motor), and I replaced it and sent the bad one back. Other little things I have just fixed myself.

If I do have something else come up, I would likely plan a trip to Jackson Center, since we have family in that part of the country.

We purchased two Airstreams locally (150 miles), haven't really had any service needs except routine maintenance. We did stop at our dealer six months later asking about a door adjustment and clearance light corrosion issue some members had reported, our salesman (who was excellent) sent us to a service/parts manager who just laid into us, sharply telling us we had 90 days for adjustments, corrosion issues, leaks etc and it has passed. You're on your own, good bye.

We haven't gotten over it, even though it was one person. We schedule Jackson Center for our servicing every couple of years, route our travels through there and can't say enough good things about it. This works best for us.
