Sewer solution is nice as long as you have running water. What do you do when there isn't water available?

No running water? I then use my slinky.

No running water--dump gray only in appropriate manner. Haven't filled black on a trip yet without a chance to dump.

I recently moved to the Rhino Extreme Sewer Hose because the connections are easier to unlock than the other brands I've used. They are just better engineered to lock and unlock smoother. Furthermore, in my experience, the connections are tight, no leaks. Rhino Extreme Sewer Hose by Camco Manufacturing is available at Camping World and Amazon.com.

Honestly no bashing, but I used a SS once. It took EPIC amounts of water and never did get my tank clean!
I do see its value for long runs into the sewer, but I'm not overly impressed.

As far as systems like Sewer Solution, this test talks a lot about how well it does in eliminating all the waste in the holding tank. http://www.thefitrv.com/rv-tips/test...rv-black-tank/

I think there is nothing like a good old dump from a 3" hose!

This is exactly how I feel. I carry the SS with me but only use it if I have to. There are a few sites we like to go to that have the sewer a little uphill, so we have to use the SS. It does use a ton of water.
We normally just use a Rhino slinky. It works. We bleach it and store it. Use gloves etc... no biggy. Not that stinky. It is quick. Not that big an issue if you ask me.
