Certainly a problem with the drug lobby.

But, it also could be interpreted as the free market economy of the US pays for the research and development of new drugs, while the rest of the world enjoys what America pays for.

Or in the case of China, Mexico, and others, makes cheap knock-off copies that are placebos at best, poisons at worst, and sells them to unsuspecting folks looking for the expensive drugs at cheap prices.

+1 on the United States paying for the majority of R&D in the medical field - whether it's medication or medical equipment. There are several studies available via the internet that indicate the U.S. basically subsidizes much of the medical industry around the world. There are many reasons for the problem and I suspect TV commercials are relatively low on the list.

Back to the original post - I still get a kick out of seeing the commercial. I think it's interesting to see how the film technique make the inside of an RV look so large.

I just saw the commercial for the first time. What is the tow vehicle? Looks like maybe a Ford Edge or something similar. The tow vehicle is maroon throughout most of the commercial, but is white in the last shot.

We bought our Airstream because of that commercial. No kidding.

Backstory is that we'd started studying the Bambi a year ago after a two-week journey with our R-Pod that culminated in a long rainy drive from west TX...complete with leaking slideout and water lines under the faucet, both newly discovered on this trip.

Let me tell you, it's infuriating having to mitigate leaks before setting up camp after an exhausting day's drive. We vowed to get an Airstream as soon as we could get our finances in order, but knowing it would be awhile yet.

Then wife saw the commercial early last month. She recorded it and we must've watched it half a dozen times that night. We realized that now, a year after the rainy R-Pod trip, we could do it. The commercial was the key motivator to pull the trigger. On 12/19/13, we became proud owners on a new Bambi 16. And we're lovin' every minute of it. Thanks to Xarelto!
