I hear you, Pecan man. My Joe was not a camper, either. His idea of camping was sitting on the patio with a TV and remote and a few beers on the weekend. So, I would pack up the kids, tent, etc, and head for the mountains. Eventually, got a little trailer, burned out a couple transmissions, then, back to the tents for a few years.
Joe has passed on, 3 of the kids, as well. My remaining dtr will not travel or camp....so, I bought the Airstream, and go solo.
My hope is that enough folks...male and female...young and older...will join in...hopefully several in various locales, so that there is chance for some to camp with company. Also, as folks travel around the country, meet up with others for a bit of company. This will take some time, but, I really hope this idea takes off. This will be one of those threads might make it possible. We shall see what interest there is.
