Torrington to San Diego
Torrington, WY to San Diego
Planning a trip to San Diego from Torrington,WY in early December. With a return trip a couple weeks later.
Looking for recommendations on a route at that time of year. Would like to avoid the Interstates if at all possible. Have already eliminated I-80 and I-70 for obvious reasons.
Also, any info on campgrounds and RV parks would be appreciated.
Looking to take 4 days to get there and four to return.
We are actually leaving from Torrington, WY. Which is 200 miles northeast of Denver.
Plan to stay somewhere around Pueblo, CO the first night out.
Debating on going over Wolf Creek Pass to the 4 corners, then thru Flagstaff, AZ. Not sure if the weather in Flagstaff will deter us from that route at that time of year. Is that part of Rt. 66 worth the trip?
