I don't think you can go wrong with any one of the campgrounds..We were at lower falls, but we visited all parts of the park and I don't have any strong preference for any section.

Make sure you have mosquito dope! They are everywhere in droves.

Thanks, John

Thinking about staying at the river mouth to be closer to the big water.

Thanks again
Larry

While you are there make sure you take a couple of hours and go visit the maritime museum up at White Fish Point.

We like the river mouth cg because we have kayaks and it is a short paddle up and back to the lake, or a nice paddle upstream as far as you like. Short if the falls, that is.

Ditto on the mosquito dope advice. I have never run into such a voracious and unrelenting bunch. And I've been to Flamingo!

We are thinking of going to the upper part of Michigan this summer. Is that the time of year with the mosquitoes?

Ditto on the gghayes comment and question. We never seem to run into those little pests, so we need something better than usual bug spray? I know this question sounds dumb, but I am just not use to thenlittle biters.

The first time we went it was the 3rd week in July and there were no skeeters. But we met them to distraction on our second trip which was in the middle of June.

So - my scientific 2-data-point analysis suggests that after the 15th of July you will be golden.
