Stainless Steel Outside Shower

There are pictures of the new Stainless Steel Outside Shower upgrade in the August 2013 online Blue Beret that I got today. Article states that they can be purchased thru the Airstream Store but price not given and they are not shown yet in the online catalog. From the pictures it looks pretty nice to me.

The factory plastic assembly is an awful statement to put smack in the middle of the Airstream's side profile, the whole thing is flimsy, and not trusting those foam seals I went around it with sealant. The water tank fill door, range hood vent, and 110 volt external power box are unfortunate as well.

Glad to see this upgrade from Airstream; wished they had simply installed them during assembly and charged the difference.

This is a brand new item. How could they have installed any during past assembly?

Outside shower

Not so concerned with the look, but the shower output is pathetic, utilizing connections that are so small hardly any flow and pressure is evident....would like to take it all out and re do it so it is functional...anyone do an

I have one. Bought it because the plastic one was so ugly - stood out like a sore thumb.

You will have to expand the opening. And I found I could not reconnect the water service without adding a flexible nipple to the cold side which gave me enough room to get my hand in there to tighten.

My install was still not satisfactory; when my rig was in for Lewster to install my solar, I got him to fix my shower install. He discovered that the door needed some cutouts so it would close properly. Lew to the rescue again.

Still - I have no use for the thing; but it does look like it belongs on an Airstream.
