SpaceX Boosters Landing

Just wanted to share the below AP Photo of the SpaceX boosters landing. Thought it was neat.

SpaceX Boosters Landing

The cool bit is that they auto landed all three of the booster first stages. That’s straight outta Science Fiction. How super cool is that!!!

Watched all the launches from Cape Canaveral from West Palm Beach while growing up there in the 60’s and 70’s. This is cool stuff!!

Also, for the manned tests, the Navy always had a destroyer close to the Cape, darn near in the surf, just in case they had to use the escape tower to get clear if a problem at launch. His tactical radio callsign was “Bedpan” and I used to listen in to their frequencies during launches.

Was great stuff and got me into science and math in a big way. Still a nerd to this day...

The thing I can't believe is that they brought those two down in formation. Buck Rogers, here we come.

It's worth watching the video of the launch, booster separations, and, especially, the landings. Here's the YouTube link:

The launch is at about 18 minutes into the video and the landing sequence starts at about 25 minutes in. Very cool!

Have a nominal day!
