Sliced head open on window
After my husband cut his head open we decided to only open our windows to the first notch. Gives us plenty of air flow and no worries on head injuries.

Another vote for pool noodles along the bottom of all open windows. It’s a fast lesson otherwise.

eagletoo - thanks for passing this along, just ordered the red tags and badge clips as I've had a couple of very close calls.

Those "Remove Before Flight" tags are open to many interesting and humorous interpretations IMO.
Can't wait to get some. Thanks for the reminder, as they have been mentioned in many other threads through the years.

Rear bathroom window gets opened to first notch or 3rd notch (wide open), never the middle notch. Hubby has leaked too much blood on that middle notch! I may try pool noodles (pink of course)on that window this year!

I did the same thing on a fully opened front window. This was a the dealer no less on one of their trailers. No blood here but saw stars when I did it. It's something you won't forget. Safety first.

Ouch!
We use colored clothes pins with silver curling ribbon. We never open a window without those in hand!

No, I haven't gotten myself a Cheesehead hat, but sometimes it seems like it might be a good idea.

Brings Back Memories
I remember the time as a young child, I sliced open my forehead on my parents Air Stream Soverign when I walked by and hit an open window.
I still see the stars from that event over 50 years ago. And I have the scar on my forehead that reminds me of the event and having 10 stitches put in by an old country doctor.

I have a roll of yellow "Caution" tape and tie a 12" piece on each of the open window latches. No head banging since I started doing this.

I use various hanging items to catch your eye on our openers............... but standing up in the damn doorway is my worst head banger !!!!!!!
I usually have a hat on which helps some.

And while you’ve got a heads up, checking for windows and such, don’t be like me and start falling down ...equally stupid and painful...😆

We use clothes pins and hang red bandanas from corners when windows open. It also makes our rig easy to identify.

windows?
I'm 6 foot tall, and when my windows are opened (all the way, or they are closed). I cannot hit my head on them (1973) did the windows get lowered on the body at some point? I'm sure im missing something? MPJ
