The older AS that had aluminum frame w/square corners around glass were more dangerous than new style w/rounded corners. Yes I have large scar from old style & after 53 yrs. still forget to duck at door frame.

eagletoo - I'm intrigued - where do you hang them on the windows?

The older windows with frames were the worst... These have the little aluminum closure that bruises and cuts to the bone.... Double whammy!

Try "Remove Before Flight" tags

I had the same problem when I first got my Flying Cloud and after banging my head a couple of times (was wearing a ball cap so no damage to the trailer) I got some red "Remove Before Flight" tags on Amazon.

I clipped a spring loaded key ring to each tag and clip it onto the latch bracket attached to the window glass when the window is open. Saved my noggin several times!

I also purchased a couple of 17" long tags and attach those to my X-Chocks so that I don't drive off with them still in place.

When fellow campers ask why Remove Before Flight, I just smile and replay "well, the trailer is a Flying Cloud".

PatLee,
They are metal badge clips from Amazon (where else?)

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The clips hold very well, will not blow off nor scratch the glass.

I also use them to hang my pumpkin mini lights off the awning.

Sliced head open on window

After my husband cut his head open we decided to only open our windows to the first notch. Gives us plenty of air flow and no worries on head injuries.

Another vote for pool noodles along the bottom of all open windows. Its a fast lesson otherwise.

eagletoo - thanks for passing this along, just ordered the red tags and badge clips as I've had a couple of very close calls.

Those "Remove Before Flight" tags are open to many interesting and humorous interpretations IMO.

Can't wait to get some. Thanks for the reminder, as they have been mentioned in many other threads through the years.

Rear bathroom window gets opened to first notch or 3rd notch (wide open), never the middle notch. Hubby has leaked too much blood on that middle notch! I may try pool noodles (pink of course)on that window this year!
