Saying Good-Bye

The day has come when we will be saying good-bye to our Airstream and the Airstream lifestyle. We have sold our beloved Chummy III and it will be pulling out tomorrow. I was compelled to make this sad decision due to my declining health, brought on by a rare chronic disease. My efforts now will be directed to bring more awareness to rare diseases and the costs to treat them.
I muddled along for several years without the forum after purchasing our first Airstream, but happily signed on fourteen years ago. During that time I have made more than 1900 posts, wrote articles for the old newsletter, and even served the thankless task of being a moderator. I have enjoyed my time on the forum and thoroughly enjoyed my Airstreams. We have traveled coast to coast and from Canada to Florida. For the past fifteen years we volunteered as campground hosts. No other trailer (SOB) could have served us better. My list of talents and knowledge of Airstreams has grown exponentially during these years. Best of all are the many memories and online forum friends I have made.
From time to time I will continue to lurk here on the forum and maybe even contribute, particularly if someone is planning on rewiring their classic motorhome.

Chaplain Kent,
You will always be part this great community. I have, over the many years, always enjoyed your valuable contributions, especially to the Classic Motorhome forum. Looking forward to seeing you around for much longer, with or without an Airstream!

Kent, remember there is no rule you have to own an Airstream to belong to and participate in the forum. I look forward to seeing you here as much as you are able.
