Interesting.

We spent nine days in southern Utah this past April and Grand Staircase Escalante was the first stop we made. It was spectacular, second only to Angel's Landing at Zion NP during our trip.

Please, isn't there enough whining for free stuff in this country?

I live in the four corners and travel about 15k miles a year and have seen a lot of what they want to do and have not spent half of that doing so. Perhaps they need $40K to pay off the loan on their Airstream and truck.

I have a friend that is building a Tumbleweed style tiny house on wheels. He has acquired over $30K in assistance from suppliers of building materials, appliances, etc. It is all about marketing skills these days. He will use this first house as a demo for future builds.

Kickstarter a legitimate way for creatives to fund projects that would go undone without the patronage of others. If you don't think it's a good idea, just don't donate!

This particular Kickstarter campaign is legit. Rich Charpentier is a full timer and a darn good photographer. Long time blogger (The Airstream Chronicles Continued | A Blog About Photos, Tech Tips, Life 2.0, and more….all from an Airstream). As mentioned creatives are flocking to Kickstarter as a funding mechanism. Publishers basically have no interest in publishing photo books and it turns out to be almost a self funded venture.

And if you think this deal isn't legit check out this one. Seriously raised more than $50K to make Potato Salad. Yes, really, potato salad. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...9/potato-salad
