Rugs

We are outfitting our new 25 rear twin FC. What size rugs fit the bathroom, kitchen and bedroom? Where do you use rugs the most? Where do you find the right size? Do you use indoor rugs or outdoor rugs? Thank you!

We ordered rugs from Stroud's, for the galley and rear benches area of the Interstate, Stroud Braided Rugs

They are well made, reversible and washable, and come in an endless array of patterns and colors. They will custom make them to whatever size you want.

Been very happy with them.

We acquired a few Turkish rugs/runners due to the narrow hallways and spaces. The target width was between 16" and 18". Between the twin beds was around 20" as I remember.

We had these in our 25FB before the Classic.

Maggie, how have your Stroud rugs held up over the last couple years? We've tried "normal" indoor runners and throw rugs, but they're hard to clean and don't wear well.

I should add that we're pretty hard on them given the way we camp, with mud, sand and dirt being our usual venues.

Thanks for your advice!

Cheers,

Climber

They've held up very well, and been washed many times.

I've done a bit of restitching on the larger one, using fishing line, most similar to what they used.

I'm very happy with them.

The only time I use my rugs is in the winter. Darn floor is cold first thing in the morning.

I think that may be the rugs I have. They came with the trailer courtesy of the OP.

I use LLBean reversible wool rugs, for that backwoods cabin feel to the trailer; and the warmth of the material against bare or socked feet. a runner for the hallway, and a small for the living room.

I have several Belgian rugs. The are relatively inexpensive for the smaller sizes of 2x3 or 2x4. I've gotten a bunch on sale of the years and they wash up nice and seem to hold up well.

We bought remnants (2)and had them seam bound and cut to fit our dimensions.
Four years and they still look great!

We bought several carpet runners in Instanbul, Turkey and have them in both trailers. They add interest to the custom Marmoleum flooring installed in each trailer and are made of wool so they are warm to the feet when the floor itself is cold.
