I use a teak platform that stores in the shower.

How easy is this on the feet?

Most of the suggestions here won't allow for drying in the tropical ocean air of Florida.

It is smooth teak, no problem with the feet. We use the same thing at home. Avoids rugs that don't dry.

We just toss a soft bath towel or bathmat on the floor outside the door, hang it up to dry when done...

If I get a teak mat, it will be inside the wet bath to help keep feet dry after using the shower...

In general, a well-made teak mat is easy on the feet, dries quickly, and looks very nautical. (Not cheap, however)

We use a 'shower tent' sold at Walmart to extend the shower head into for outdoor showers. This is for Boondocking showers for privacy. Often... we use only the rubber mat only and enjoy... the scenery.

We set the shower tent upon a 36" x 36" black rubber mat from Lowes or Home Depot that has openings to drain water, is about 5/16+" thick, sturdy... but weighs four or five pounds. These are intended to be along work benches and others can be connected.

We have had it so long, I do not know what it is called. Used it for 11 years. Still shows no wear, never gets mildewy, durable and can be used in front of your work bench when not on a beach trip to rinse the salt water off of you next to your trailer.

I looked at Home Depot internet selection and it looks the same as ours... 3 ft. x 3ft. Buffalo Tools- Interlocking Rubber Mat Model 801446 (4 pack is $65). We bought only one, so figure under $20. You cannot wear it out. It will hold up to ANYONE's weight.
