I can remember tent camping in the 50s as a kid and the all too sinking feeling when the parental units realized that neither had packed the can opener.

Comfortable shoes.

As a friend of mine once said, "The two most important things in life are comfortable shoes and a comfortable bed. If you're not in one, you're in the other!"

Hey crabby,
If your going to the mountains ( high altitudes) I recently found that the butane lighters don't light. Take some stick matches along.

Roadtrip Must Haves???

Besides bringing our normal basics; water, coffee, sufficient quantities of our favorite adult beverages and the most important thing, telling work I will have limited access to email and texts. I have also been know to forget to keep my work phone charged... My boss and I have a mutual understanding, if it is truly an emergency we each have the others personal numbers, otherwise have fun and see ya when you get back.

Bologna and whisky or whiskey, is a requirment for a well balanced diet,
and it doesn't have to be organic. The only way to improve the bologna is to cut thick slices of it and fry it.....then put Frenches yellow mustard on two slices of white bread, maybe with a slice of sweet onion....
Wash it down with two shots of Uncle Jack's finest....

:-)

I'm a fan of Jack, Diet Ginger and a dash of either Angostura or Peychaud's bitters.

And fried baloney is awesome! Thick slice for breakfast with eggs (no mustard in that scenario). Mmmmmmm. :-)
