Pregnant and Airstreaming?

We're having a Baby!
My wife's 13 weeks today with our first child and we're so excited.

I've already booked camping trips for this summer, in May, July, August and October. Obviously we'll have to cancel the October trip since she's due that weekend.

Any advice on camping with a pregnant woman?

We'll definately get the May and July 1 long weekend trips in and see how things go Then decide if we need to cancel any of our other trips.
We're pretty laid back when we camp so I don't expect there to be any problems, I can do all the heavy work and let her relax in a comfortable chair. I'm buying extra health insurance on her since some of the trips will be out of Province. Any other recomendations?

Congratulations!

Plan to not plan. Don't set expectations, just love each other. It is best gift you can give your kiddo's!

Getting the insurance great idea!

God bless y'all!

Just take it one trip at a time. All of my pregnancies were different from each other-- it's hard to predict with any pregnancy. It may be just like any other time or she could be very sick or tired or even end up on bedrest. Congrats! Katie

Make darn sure you've got air conditioning that works! Long car rides can really uncomfortable, so plan for extra time coming and going. You'll be fine.... and congratulations!

Ideally, I would echo the "don't plan" comments above, expensive reservations are going to lock you into feeling like you have to go. Do shorter spur of the moment trips and enjoy the good days.

The co-founder of The Iditarod was fond of saying "If you don't have a plan , that's one less thing to go wrong."
