We have a 2012 FC 25 rear bedroom. There's just the two of us. The front dinette feels way too big and dominates all the space in front. The table is far bigger than we need for example.

In considering a redesign of this whole front area to be more lounge and less dinette, I am wondering is this will ruin the eventual resale value? Assuming the redesign was done in the same quality, of course. I envision something like two leather chairs and a smaller table between them, and some storage or shelves on the two sides. The existing dinette is frankly not comfortable for TV watching, reading etc. The dinette seats are sort of utilitarian.

I wouldn't want to reduce my value radically by doing this. But, I would like to have a more custom design that fits our needs.
I think if you did it similar to the way Doug did you might even increase value. Check out this thread - http://www.airforums.com/forums/f44/...r-94598-2.html. Beautiful, functional and looks stock.

Great thread! We seeing all the interior photos. Nice work. We especially like the wood panel interior. It looks like something out of the 1930's or 40's; very nostalgic.

Thanks Birdmaestro--

That is a beautiful conversion. That link also brought me to another one who did a slightly different version. There's no doubt that using AS components like that is the way to go. It's like creating a new AS floor plan. I think most people who travel as just a couple would probably love that kind of layout.

That is a nice trailer. You better make sure you don't have leaks. It would be tragic to ruin all that nice wood.

Thank you, I admit to being a little too proud of it.

So fear so good on the leaks, it has stayed dry through torrential rain and snow and sleet so far.

Even so , I built it to be easy to fix even if it should leak. After tearing apart the stock stuff, I made easy to fix a priority.

Just installed these stained glass inserts I made over this winter. Will help with heat loss during cold periods, heat gain during warm spells, privacy when parked to close to towering motorhomes and unlike the pull curtains, will let light in all the time.

Gregg, beautiful job, love one sided dinette, looks like you have really made this your own design inside. Very nice. I will try to add mine but photos always end up upside down from my MAc.

Here's our interior last spring, just after finishing "birchification" of the formerly plastic wood grain interior.

How did you secure the stained glass inserts to the existing windows? They are beautiful!

I'd like to post too, but my bed is basically in my kitchen, which is practically part of my bathroom, which is almost in the driver's seat. Not a wide angle lens capable of capturing the tiny space that is my Interstate!

Lots of great pictures here! Thanks everyone for posting.

Here's my contribution. I took this quick picture of the interior of our 2013 30' Classic today. We were just getting ready to leave for home, we stayed the weekend at Little Creek Casino in Shelton.

Wonder how many different fabrics they have for the dinette?
That looks like our trailer otherwise.
