Phantom Trailer Symptom

After a long weekend away with the trailer, I find myself:
  • Reaching for the trailer key when opening the front door.
  • Waiting for the feel of the trailer brakes to kick in when driving home from the storage place.
  • Taking extra wide turns.
  • Forgetting that I can actually use my rear-view mirror.
  • Settle into traffic at 55, wondering why everybody is giving me angry looks. (average highway speed where I live is about 75)
  • Taking a Navy shower without thinking.
  • Wondering why I can't see the stars at night

We just got back from five weeks on the road with Lucy. We still feel like we are pulling a trailer everywhere we go.

Just got back from our last trip of the year for us. Am already suffering withdrawal symptoms. :-(

Loved the list of phantom symptoms! :-)

How does this get in to the blood so fast! First year for us and we don't really maximize it. Next year hopefully we'll double our usage!

ha! ha! Very good. (And it's not just a Canadian thing!)

This phantom (pleasure, not pain) is universal!

Happy Turkey Day from the other side of the country.

Can one experience and exhibit symptoms of phantom trailer syndrome if he/she has only used it once? I have been reading the forums multiple times a day, using the convection oven at home to cook biscuits (practice, of course), and drooling over campgrounds and places to visit. Not the same as habitually trying to depress a toilet pedal, but suffering nonetheless. Thought we might get her out one more time, but our weekends have suddenly become booked. Is it Spring yet?
