OAL or Overall Length

I am a newbee searching for a late model AS trailer and it must fit the "stable" I have available for it. That said, how can I determine the actual overall length of a given trailer? For example, a 25 foot Twin FB. Is the overall length (OAL) literally 25 feet or must I factor an additional 4 or 5 feet for tongue and rear bumper? The AS web site is not conclusive on this topic (or I am overlooking it).

I'm sure this has been discussed before and so I apologize in advance for raising it again, but I was not able to perform a successful search on the subject.

It's listed as exterior length in the specifications. From the back of the bumper if there is one, to the coupler in the front.

In the Airstream world, the length in the literature is from the back of the rear bumper to the front of the ball hitch. Most other trailers the length mentioned is just the box, so additional length must be added for a rear bumper, if installed, and the "A" frame in front.

Many thanks Guys. Hugely helpful! I think AS is THE exception to the length calculation rule.

I had a professional restoration of a single axle, 1936 nineteen foot AS.
I've always "assumed" it is a 19 foot AS. Now, I'm going to measure bumper to ball and see what it really is . !
thx
