Newbie to be.

Well, we did it. Moving up from an RPod.
Have only had the Pod for a few months and it's a great little starter camper.
But it was just way too small with next to no windows for our enjoyment.
After looking at seemingly every TT on the planet, decided to just go all in.

So, without ever having seen one, just pulled the trigger and ordered a 26U.
Options: Truffle décor, Twin AC, Awning Package, Camera, Convection Micro.

I think an ok deal - 20% off MSRP with RPod trade-in for exactly what I paid.
Nothing else just comes close to AS, just a matter of you get what you pay for.

Sadly not yet retired to enjoy it to its fullest, but when that day comes (will likely take longer now) we'll be ready.

Now just scared, excited, overwhelmed - OMG - what did I just do????

I bought my very first TT - the 26U in August 2016. I have been very happy with the purchase! We have already had a bunch of weekends and now a trip to Harry Potter World in March. I think you will love your 26U!!

Ooops. I must clarify to be accurate for everyone. I mixed my numbers.

It worked out to be 1 of 2 ways (the numbers work out about the same):
15% off MSRP for 26U and 14.5k for the Pod (what I paid minus a few small add-ons)
- or -
20% off MSRP for 26U and 10k for the Pod (all other dealers only offered 10k as well).

Could I have gotten more for the Pod if just sold it? Yes - but the hassle (ugh).
Greatest deal every done? Probably not.
However I knew I'd have to take a haircut on the Pod.
Lesson learned.

I don't know what Airstreams typically retail for,
but I think 15% off a brand new, built to order AS -and-
getting exactly what I paid for my trade-in is not too bad.
Oh, and included is WDH install ($125) and a set of twin sheets (woo-hoo!)

All in all I am satisfied, that's all that matters, and we are getting an AS!
Anyone want to donate 66k to a worthy cause?

Congratulations. Airstreams are even better when one is retired.

Enjoy

Isn't everything (or so I've heard)?
